EMBASSY OF INDIA, ABIDJAN, COTE D'IVOIRE
While India had established diplomatic relations with Cote d’Ivoire much earlier, the Embassy of India in Abidjan was opened in 1979. It has played an important role over the years in enhancing the traditionally cordial and friendly relations between India and Cote d’Ivoire.
The Embassy has coordinated exchange of official/commercial bilateral delegation visits from India to Cote d’Ivoire, encouraged public and private investment from India into Cote d’Ivoire and vice versa, played special role in grant of Lines of Credit for various projects in Cote d’Ivoire through the EXIM Bank of India, facilitated of issuance of visas to Ivorian nationals as well as Ivorian students studying in India on self-financing basis, helped Cote d’Ivoire in their capacity building by way of sending Ivorian students on training for enhancing their skills to educational institutions in India under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme of Government of India and promoted the cultural exchanges between the two countries.
The Embassy of India in Abidjan looks after interest of Indian nationals (estimated over one thousand as of 2014) residing in Cote d’Ivoire and also renders them consular services as and when required by them. The Embassy is presently located at :

The Embassy of India in Abidjan is also concurrently accredited to the Republic of Guinea (Conakry) and the Republic of Liberia and endeavours to promote India’s bilateral relations with both the countries too.
